This week in Science, we looked at what a living thing needs to survive. We discussed that if we wanted to get water, we might get this from different water sources such as a waterfall, lake or river and that food would need to be hunted or sourced from trees, plants or underground. We also discussed the importance of needing a shelter and that this is more beneficial if it has a roof, so our main activity was to build a shelter for a little teddy bear figure. The children really enjoyed this activity and put a lot of thought into making their shelters, stable and strong.
