READING
We have been practising our reading and comprehension skills and this is going to be an on-going process throughout the year. After half term, we have planned in lots of opportunities to practise reading, as well as showing our understanding through answering questions.
WRITING
This week we have been concentrating on writing basic sentences and making sure that each sentence has a capital letter, finger spaces and full stops. We have been using some images from a site called Pobble365. The pictures on this website are lovely as they provide lots of discussion points.
SPELLINGS
This week the spellings for Group A are year 2 common exception words;

Group B's spellings are as follows;
The /k/ sound is spelt as k rather than as c before e, i and y. The /nk/ sound found at the end of
words and usually comes after a vowel.
